The Storeroom Coordinator will manage the Maintenance storeroom to ensure all parts are present and accounted for. They will also be responsible for receiving all non-raw material related shipments into the building, receiving them into the MRP/ERP system and notifying the required individuals of their arrival and location. The Storeroom Coordinator will also be the backup for the MRO Buyer.

Key Responsibilities

  • Responsible for overall storeroom operation including, receiving and inspecting all incoming items, issuing parts to production or maintenance orders, and ensuring proper placement of storeroom items in storage cell where items are maintained for use.
  • Conducts cycle counts, and bulk inventories of equipment/storeroom items as required.
  • Inputs and maintains computer inventory system and master file data system to ensure accurate storeroom inventory. Also generates computer reports weekly on all receipts and disbursements.
  • Coordinates with the Maintenance Manager and Planner in the initial set-up of new storeroom parts, the modification and/or substitution of existing parts, and the deletion of storeroom parts, overstock, and surplus parts.
  • Communicate discrepancies with vendors/suppliers/manufacturers and corrects them in a timely manner. If necessary, properly packs and processes items for outgoing shipment for common carrier; prepares miscellaneous shipping orders, airfreight bills, and/or bills of lading.
  • Maintains good housekeeping and organization in the storeroom and related areas.
  • Comply with all safety rules, company practices/procedures, and participate in safe work practices, as outlined by the company and government regulations in order to facilitate a safe and compliant working environment
  • Perform other duties assigned by the Maintenance Manager

Minimum Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent education
  • 2-3 yrs on job experience in administrative or supply field; proficient with Microsoft Suite
  • Ability to work in a fast paced, change oriented environment with attention to detail; familiar with MRP/ERP systems; committed to internal and external customer satisfaction; excellent customer service skills including active listening; familiar with mechanical parts, mechanical aptitude and ability to learn; excellent written and oral communication skills; excellent time management skills to maintain performance, pace, consistency and follow up

Working Conditions

Office environment 50%, Floor environment 50% of the time. Operate forklift with regular frequency. High frequency data entry of necessary information. Could be exposed to outside conditions year-round; Low frequent exposure to molten metal at temperatures reaching 1300 degrees F. Low frequent exposure to extreme ambient temperatures depending on the season. Low frequent exposure to overhead loads, confined space, loud noise and dust.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00 – $30.00 per hour
